Rowton Castle

Rowton Castle is a magnificent historic country house in Shropshire, set within 17 acres of beautiful gardens and peaceful countryside. With its grand architecture, elegant interiors and romantic atmosphere, the castle offers a truly fairytale setting for a marriage proposal.

The highlight is the Linden Belvedere, a beautiful classical pavilion nestled within the formal gardens. Featuring elegant pillars and a decorative floral mural, this striking structure creates a romantic focal point for the big moment. Surrounded by manicured lawns, colourful flowers and mature trees, it provides a picturesque backdrop for a bespoke proposal setup, which could be enhanced with elegant floral arrangements and carefully styled décor.

After the proposal, you can celebrate with a special meal at the castle’s Cedar Restaurant or enjoy an overnight stay in one of its individually designed bedrooms. The combination of historic charm, beautiful gardens and luxurious accommodation makes Rowton Castle ideal for turning the occasion into a memorable romantic escape.

Permission for a private proposal setup and any decorations would need to be confirmed with the venue in advance, including availability of the Linden Belvedere and an indoor alternative in case of poor weather.
